This area is always in need of re-turfing after every season as it’s the main route across the burn so we are trying something different with the use of rubber matting with holes in it which should be harder wearing and allow grass to establish through the holes leaving the area looking natural and not out of place, under the matting we lowered the soil level and re-turfed then laid the matting on top to match the existing turf around the matted area all it’s left to do now is apply an anti slip paint to the railway sleepers.Posted by Bob Meikle
